Organization Overview

InvestEd: Financial Literacy for the Future is a Long Beach–based nonprofit organization delivering hands‑on financial literacy education to elementary school students in Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD).

Through interactive lessons, real‑world simulations, and writing‑based assessments, InvestEd equips students with foundational skills in budgeting, saving, investing, and long‑term financial decision‑making.

Founder Bio (Short)

Mechelle Maier, Founder of InvestEd, is a former financial advisor and banking professional with a background in private client services. She founded InvestEd to bring accessible, age‑appropriate financial education into elementary classrooms, helping students build confidence and practical money skills early in life.
